Sports: Pitt Meadows Marauders Senior Football Team Honoured At City Hall Last Tuesday

The Pitt Meadows Marauders won their first-ever Provincial Football Championship last
November at BC Place, More than doubling the Eric Hamber Griffins 33-14. This marked a perfect season for the Marauders in 2016.
Last Tuesday, January 10th at Pitt Meadows City Hall, Mayor John Becker and City Council honoured this accomplishment by given out achievement certificates in the Council Chamber at 7 pm.

The Pitt Meadows football program is only a few years old and have already won a provincial championship.

The Marauders were led by Brandon Hunt, Haydn Barton, and Tayden Mountford .

The Marauders will be strong for a long time as they lose only 3 grade 12’s. They were the only team that had 6 grade 9’s on the roster.
