Pitt Meadows News: Pitt Meadows To Get 6.9 Million For Pump Station

The Pitt Polder pump station is getting an upgrade, following a federal funding announcement today at Pitt Meadows City Hall.

Delivering the good news was The Honourable Harjit Singh Sajjan MP and Minister of Canadian Defence. MLA Doug Bing brought messages from Minister Stone and Fassbender . Pitt Meadows Mayor John Becker thanked everyone, especially MP Dan Rumy who has been working on this project since he was first elected. The MP from Mission Matsqui and Fraser Canyon Jati Sidhu was also on hand.
Also representing the City of Pitt Meadows today was myself, Councillor Janis Elkerton and Councillor Mike Stark.

With a cost of $6.9 million, the Pitt Polder pump station will be changed over to a much more modern system.

The cost for the pump is being shared by the Federal, Provincial and local Municipal Governments.
