Municipal Politics: 2011 Municipal Elections
The City of Pitt Meadows has put together a helpful guide for candidates and voters in the November 19 municipal election. It includes links to important information for voters.
General Local Elections are held every three years on the third Saturday of November. The next General Local Election will be held on Saturday, November 19, 2011 from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Public Notice is given to the electors of the City of Pitt Meadows that nominations for the offices of:
Mayor
1 to be electedCouncillors
6 to be electedSchool Trustee
2 to be elected
for a 3-year term (December 2011 to December 2014), will be received by the Chief Election Officer or a designated person, at City Hall starting October 4 at 9 am until October 14 at 4:00 pm

Advance voter registration for those not on the (Provincial Voter’s) list (ie: if you have just moved into the municipality) ended September 27, 2011. Registration forms are available by clicking here [PDF - 83 KB] or at City Hall front reception.
Please note that you will be required to bring your completed form to the advance polling station (City Hall Meadows Room) on Nov. 9 & 10 or on election day (Nov 19, 2011), along with two (2) pieces of valid identification in order to vote if you are not currently on the Voter’s List. Important Candidate Nomination Form Information:
Nomination forms will be accepted at City Hall beginning at 9:00 a.m. on Tuesday, October 4, 2011 and ending on Friday, October 14, 2011 at 4:00 p.m. Each Candidate must have ten (10) nominators that are eligible electors of the City of Pitt Meadows.
A declaration of candidates will be made after 4:00 p.m. on Friday October 14, 2011 by the Chief Election Officer at the City Hall in the Council Chamber.
The Declaration of Election will occur on October 24, 2011 at 4:00 p.m. with names of final Candidates.
