By on December 14, 2016

Submitted. Last night at the Pitt Meadows City Council meeting, Council voted in favour of bringing in a Living Wage Policy. The Metro Living Wage rate of $20.64 will bring all City employees and contractors that have contracts greater than $25,000 in the City to the new rate. The costs of this will be about 1/2 of a percent when fully implemented. The 2017 budget will see a slight increase (1/4%) or less in taxes because of the new policy.
