Crime: Man Stabbed In Robbery
Submitted. Ridge Meadows RCMP are investigating a home invasion robbery. Police were called to a home on 227 Street where a male victim was injured when he was stabbed by suspects who illegally entered the home.
The man was taken to hospital by B.C. Ambulance Service’s Air Ambulance, where he was treated for non-life threatening injuries. Police, including a dog team from the RCMP Lower Mainland District’s Police Dog Services searched the area for possible leads, and the scene was to be examined by a member of the RCMP Integrated Forensic Identification Services.
Superintendent Dave Walsh said, Our investigation is in the beginning stages. I know that some property was stolen from the home, but this was not a marijuana growing operation. Although we do not know the motive, this appears to be a targeted attack.
Police are looking for a green 1999 Chevrolet Cavalier car with British Columbia licence plate# 872 PSJ. Anyone with any information as to the whereabouts of this car, or any information regarding suspects, are asked to call Ridge Meadows RCMP at PH# 604-463-6251, or if you wish to remain anonymous call CRIMESTOPPERS at 1 800 222-8477 or leave a TIP online at www.solvecrime.ca.
