Crime: Kenneth Glen Erickson Arrested After Allegedly Exposing Himself
Submitted. Ridge Meadows RCMP arrested 65 year old Kenneth Glen Erickson after he allegedly exposed himself to two teenage males. The incident occurred on Dewdney Trunk Road in Maple Ridge just after 10:00 p.m. on Wednesday June 13, 2012.
The boys were walking along the street when they observed a red Toyota Land Cruiser turn onto the street in front of them. As they approached the street they saw a man standing on the corner exposing himself. They crossed the road and continued walking east. The same vehicle again turned onto the street in front of them, and they again saw the man exposing his genitalia. The boys then got onto a bus, which took them to the Maple Ridge bus loop where they saw the same vehicle. They were able to contact a police officer, and the vehicle was stopped and the suspect was arrested.
Corporal Alanna Dunlop said, “The suspect is known to police for this type of offence, and has a past criminal conviction. The victims in this case did the right thing in keeping themselves safe. They did not engage in any conversation with him, stayed together, and noted the descriptions of the man and his vehicle. All of this was relayed to the first police officer they could contact resulting in the arrest of the suspect.”
Erickson was held in custody for a first court appearance on Thursday June 14, 2012.
