Crime: If Your Tools Were Recently Stolen, Ridge Meadows RCMP Would Like To Hear From You

Submitted. Ridge Meadows RCMP are attempting to find the owner of approximately $1000 worth of power tools police suspect are stolen.
Just after 4:00 a.m. on Friday May 25, 2012 a police officer on patrol stopped a male on a bicycle in the downtown area of Maple Ridge. The man was carrying a bag that contained a number of power tools and power cords.

Corporal Alanna Dunlop said, “These tools do not appear to belong to the man who had possession of them, so we’re trying to see who the rightful owner may be. Ridge Meadows RCMP are putting this out in the hope the owner will come forward and identify their tools, so we can return them and take the suspect to court.”

It is felt the theft would have been recent, so between Monday May 21st and early Friday May 25th, 2012 morning. If you have been a recent victim of a theft of power tools, please contact Sergeant Rob Wheeler at Ridge Meadows RCMP PH# 604-463-6251.

Traffic Stop Yielded Drugs And Money.
A traffic stop resulted in Ridge Meadows RCMP recommending charges of Possession for the purpose of Trafficking against an 18 year old Vancouver man. At approximately 2:20 a.m. Tuesday May 29, 2012 the man was stopped as he drove west along Golden Ears Way in Maple Ridge. The police officer located a quantity of money, along with what police believe to be crack cocaine and heroin in the car. The young man was arrested, and later released on a Promise to Appear in court in August 2012.
